ABOUT ME
I’m Jennifer, theatre artist, arts administrator, mother, nature lover, roller coaster connoisseur and all around adventurer. When I’m not making theatre, I’m either traveling or planning the next family adventure.
At Jenny Jay’s Journeys I bring together my love of travel, creativity and years of project management to create custom travel experiences for busy families, including multigenerational trips and families with special needs.
Adventuring has always been a part of my life. Growing up in a military family, my parents made sure we fully explored every place we lived. As a young adult, I lived in Mexico, New York City and Guatemala and took several trips to Europe and Hawaii. Once we had kids, my husband and I vowed to continue traveling. We have been road tripping and adventuring with our 2 girls for over a decade.
Traveling gives us an opportunity to step out of our hectic routines to connect with each other, experience new things, reflect and recharge. I love to design trips for busy families that balance adventure, connection and relaxation.
RESEARCH
A personal travel planner does all the research and planning of the trip for you. I'll build a trip based on your personal preferences, family composition and special needs.
PROPOSAL
Accommodation, attractions, transportation, restaurants, and maps, are all provided. You will get a detailed file that includes all the information according to day and time. All that you need to do is sign-off and pack.
BOOKING
Anyone can book a hotel, but putting together a vacation takes time. The idea is to maximize your time and money instead of wasting it on an attraction you didn't know was closed or a hotel that looks beautiful only in pictures.

That's it. Just enjoy your trip. I've taken care of all the details, accessible right on your phone.
US National Parks
My area of expertise.
I grew up in a road trip family who frequented national parks. National parks provide a great balance of adventure, learning and relaxation. Road trips that include multiple national parks are my favorite to plan. I love finding fun things to do between destinations and planning activities that match the interests and needs of all family members.
I also love to travel to Guatemala and Mexico. I have lived in both countries, traveled extensively in each and am fluent in Spanish. Both countries have so much to offer in terms of natural beauty, cultural experiences, eco-tourism and adventure. I have planned and taken groups to Guatemala for 20 years. I’m passionate about introducing others to these diverse and fascinating places.
